I've found the best (cheapest!) way to ship is FedEx Ground. If the wheels
have tires on them, tape cardboard over each side so the wheels don't get
scratched, slap mailing labels on them and take them over to FedEx.

If they don't have tires, then you're better off finding wheel boxes.

UPS isn't bad pricewise, btw. And you can do some comparison rate shopping
on their websites. Just make sure you know the destination zipcode.
