I agree with you, I think the Cayenne is quite ugly due to
those huge air intakes. However, it is supremely capable on-road
and IMHO, all SUVs are pretty ugly, with the best-looking ones
simply being rather plain.

I still think the Cayenne looks better than the Hummer H2, which
to me looks like a cartoon on wheels (someone is seriously compensating
for the lack of something else with that truck).

Considering that the Cayenne seriously smokes the X5 4.6is on the
'ring, I'm impressed, esp. that it is in the top 10 of production cars
there for lap times.

I also like the fact that for $55-60k, one can get a very nice dry-sump
alloy V8 engine, very trick air suspension and very serious brakes,
which most SUVs lack.
