[s-cars] Pagid Squeal

One theory: Pagid material may be different to that used by non squealers.
Accordingly the rotor surfaces are reacting to the Pagid material because
they still have embedded structures from the previous pads. A very modest
surface grind may overcome the problem. Alternatively, new rotors on used
Pagids may produce the same result.

I put another rotor (only used with stock pads) on one squealing Pagid
caliper, with no improvement.

But then my Pagids do NOT squeal when applied - only when brakes are NOT
used and audible below 20 mph. Andersons note the same as does Charlie Day
both with Urqs using SQ calipers and rotors. I have aggressively angled the
leading and trailing edge as my next strategy but have yet to try them out.

Porterfield are much better, though. Still have Mintex to try. Stock are
no problem but they glaze and fade on the track.

| Mine squeal all the time. I surmise that the snow and
| rain rusted the rotors and it took 4 hours of driving
| normally (imagine that) to get it back. Noise was
| back last night, to my relief/dismay. :-) They
| started gripping a lot better w/noise, which leads me
| to believe that pad deposits on rotor were worn off
| and it took time to get them back on.
|
| Now they squeal when brakes are applied at low
| speed/effort when cold and moderat effort when warmed
| up properly.
