I cut and pasted this , "specifications and features " from http://impreza.subaru.com/microsites/impreza/wrxsti/wrxsti.jsp This is obviously PR stuff , but it had the comments about the center / front and rear diff.'s which might interest the listers who had some interest in "Diff's." ...... Found one comment on another site which says that the rear diff on the 2003 WRX is a Viscous--Limited Slip Diff. ...Again , it was PR stuff.... I haven't found any technicals yet............ *The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (air bags) affords the driver and front passenger additional protection in a moderate-to-severe frontal or (when equipped with front seat side-impact air bags) a side-impact collision. This system provides supplemental protection only, and seatbelts must be worn in order to avoid injuries to out-of-position occupants upon bag deployment and to provide the best combined protection in a serious accident. Children should always be properly restrained in the rear seat.

Stephen,
Attached is the paper. Save yourself a headache and first skip ahead to Section 4 on page 13, "Synergy: Torque Sensing + Traction Control Systems" Section 4.3, "Torque Sensing + Brake TCS" is the applicable section for Torsen+EDL.
Cheers,
Keith
