Q: Have you changed the oil in the A/C system? It should be replaced
every 5 to 6 years or so to help ensure the compressor doesn't burn out
(more often in extreme hot environments). Any qualified A/C person
should be able to pump down the refrigerant and recharge the oil, then
recharge the system with your old refrigerant. I haven't looked at the
system in our Audi yet, but some systems actually have a way of doing
the replacement without depressurizing the system first.
