Instead of trying to "carefully" pry of the trim from
the side as described in the Bentley, I would first
pull out the radio for easier access.  You can then
get at the top of the trim and either get a small flat
object behind it or get a grip on it w/ your fingers.
The wood veneer or whatever it is is very brittle.
