[s-cars] OEM European Brakes from a S4tt

What would it take to adapt the Girling floating calipers from a S4tt to
our UrS4/S6s? Browsing through the euro ETKA, it appears that the S4tt
uses the same calipers as the euro-spec AAN S4/S6. The rotors spec'd for
the euro-spec AAN is 314 x 30 mm.

What I'm not sure of is that the offset (hat) is probably different and
an adapter bracket may have to be fabricated.

Assuming a bracket could be made, would it not be possible to pick up a
used set of calipers from a wrecked S4tt, buy euro-spec rotors and
install it on the North American-spec AAN? Has anyone attempted this or
researched it? It seems to be a cost effective solution that is the next
best thing to an OEM euro-spec.

I guess the other option would be to purchase a euro-spec wheel bearing
housing (struts) and use that. But this is obviously more expensive and
time consuming because of the re-re of all the bits and pieces.

Just tossing an idea out.
