Bob,
WRT rear license plate holder.
I too have spent too many minutes turned to hours wrestling with this.
Hans n Klaus spent so much time designing a really terrific car and then must
have turned to detroit for US plate holder design.
Result: Another item guaranteed to fail 100% of the time. i.e. rusted shut
nuts n screws.
I believe the stealer may have a new fix for this per some 'better late than
never' service bulletin.
That said; this is really the time you have been waiting for. Get rid of
both of those US inner tailights and that stinkin license plate holder and get
the S6+ center rear.

That was my ultimate solution. Why spend only 3 or 4 bucks on SS screws,
when you can spend $160 or so and have this koolguy euro look?
It's way gooder;)

ps FWIW the LP holder can be removed by removing the inner trunk liner, the
two bolts and gently prying the sucker off. Mine was then only secured by
some black forest gunk that seems to have lifetime stickiness.
