Damn, Joel is having a bunch of problems. And Paulie K. brings up a good
point: Joel and Pizzoman have never been seen in public together. So
maybe there is sumptin to the theory that Joel is just Pizzo's alter ego,
while the real Pizzo tries to pretend his car is now perfect so he can ditch
for that STI.

Subject: [s-cars] Cruise control problem

My cruise control is acting funky. When I set the cruise, sometimes it
works, but sometimes on setting the cruise, it will gradually increase
speed until I hit the brakes. Going down a hill increases the speed.
it doesn't compensate at all for the hill by backing off the throttle
like it should. When I step on it while cruise is engaged, the car
takes off, but takes forever to come back down to the speed it was set
at. It's like something is gradually letting the gas pedal down instead
of it just dropping back to the speed I had it set at. If I hit resume,
it floors it, and keeps going faster and faster until I hit the brakes.
Turning off CC completely doesn't stop it from picking up speed. Only
the brakes do. It always does something when I hit the set or resume
buttons, so I think the button and electrical part seems to be working.
I just don't know if it's going to set the speed, gradually accelerate,
or floor it. The randomness of it leads me to believe that some vacuum
line somewhere is faulty? Any ideas?

Do you refer at times to your car as "Christine", maybe?

Sorry, no help. BUT... I too need cruise help. Mine seems to want to work
on a 50/50% basis. Sometimes fine, sometimes does not engage.

Thoughts? I've been meaning to ask, but Joel's post finally got me here.

-P cruise used on PIG- enforced holiday weekends to keep me out of jail K.
