[s-cars] Flames Out the Back

I vaguely remember that Porsche used to put fuel into the exhaust stroke
and ignite it, when off of the throttle. Made a big awful noise, just
like a backfire, imagine that. I remember hearing it on the 911 turbo
cars that they where running in the old Supercar series. I also suspect
that the dodge factory guys at the One Lap where using the same trick on
there neon.

It is my understanding that Audi put an extra injector on the exhaust
side of the turbo so inbetween shifts it would spray fuel into the turbo
igniting it and kept the turbo spooled up inbetween shifts, thus the
flames!
