Beware the tricky marketing of octane boost. When the can says "adds up to 7
octane points", that means tenths of points, not whole point.
So one can takes it from 87 to 87.7 or so. You're better off stopping at
Sherwin Williams paint store and buying a gallon or three of toluene and
pouring that directly into the tank. It's 114 octane, so it'll help a lot
more.

The S6 ran poorly last night with very erratic boost. Started this AM ran
for 1/2 mile, then loud pop sputtered and stalled. This is when she
realizied that reg gas was used. The car will start but just sputter and
stall. I thought it would run with reg gas but retard timing. Could the reg
gas do this? No time to pull codes til tonight.
