[s-cars] rear brakes replacement advice

I am going to swap out my rear pads and rotors
tomorrow night. Rust has trashed my rotors and pieces
have fallen off. Thump, Thump in the pedal.
Leaving for Alabama on Friday.
Any words of wisdom?
Bill, I have seen your recent threads and hope I am
not in for the same surprises. Everything is working
fine now , so I am hoping for the best.
 am going to do teh channel lock piston retarction as
I am too cheap for a $100 tool for this. Other
options??
