[s-cars] RE: RW steer

Thanks for your response.  I see several bushings back there.  The ones
I was most suspicious of are in line with the rear diffy and closest to
the center of the car.  They looked bad, but jacking the car and tapping
them with a rubber mallet didn't reveal any play???  While jacked up, I
also yanked the rear wheels as hard as I could and felt nothing move.
(don't know if this is a scientific method though....)

What was you test method??

Subject: [s-cars] Rear Wheel Steer??

Every once in awhile I get a subtle surprise response from the chassis
during a lane change, where the car feels that it is doing the steering
for me.  Usually its related to cracks, ruts in the road etc.  I would
blame the tires, but it feels a little bit different to that.  Are there
known suspension bushings / linkages that need to be replaced in a 93 S4
with 140K?
