Excellent question, actually, I would like to know if towing is causing
any damage to the car. Damage or excessive wear on some parts (may be
clutch or gearbox). I suppose but might be incorrect that the fact the
car is permanent four wheel drive is better designed for towing than 2
wheel drive.

I've decided I'd like to take my motorcycle to the lake this year, and
the only realistic way to get it there is to tow it behind the '95 S6.
Does anyone have any experience with light towing on this car?  I'm sure
a class 1 hitch would suffice for my purposes, although if a class 2 is
available and it doesn't harm the car, I'd probably opt for that.
