[s-cars] S4 Trim strips

My door trim strips (ding protectors) on the outside of the passenger's
side (front and back door) of the car are rusted out and no longer hold
to the tension clips.  I ordered new trim strips and they came in
today.  What is the best way to install these?  I notice they are held
on by tension clips.  Do I need to take the door apart to get the old
clips out in order to snap in the new trim.
