Dan,
I'll answer the mail, but don't know how to answer your question. One
answer, take the bulb out. Another is, repair the malfunction that
caused the light to come on in the first place. What year/model are we
discussing? What DTC's (codes) are displayed? Why do you think the
light is on ? Have you read any portions of the Bentley repair manual?
Where are you located? If you are going to maintain an s-car without
total reliance on the dealer to reset your oil light, change belts,
etc, you will need the Bentley repair manual and a VAG-COM or PRO-DIAG
tool (software and laptop or Palm PDA with connectors) or a friend who
does. You'll need the friend even if he doesn't have one- for moral
support, dirty work, beer, explain to your wife how much money you
saved, what a great car it is, etc. YMMV HTH Send the list some
