Why would the 100 have a longer wheelbase? Isn't it the same car but with a different engine? (basically)

The engine block (aspirated) as a V6 is heavier than the slant-5 with
the turbo, and the frame/chassis of the car is also heavier to support
the longer wheel base and larger load capacity, resulting in additional
weight on the front end. Think of the 100-series as being the same
platform, in essence, as the A6/S6 series.
