Get a real mechanical gauge and be sure of it. I never start a new engine
without one. Learned this lesson the hard way.

Subject: [s-cars] 3b conversion no oil pressure

Sorry- If you're subbed to multiple lists, you will see this more than once,
but we need max exposure.
Finishing up Brandon's 3b to URQ conversion, we cranked it with no coil wire
trying to generate oil pressure. The gauge pegs if wire is grounded, so we
believe the gauge is reading correctly, but shows no reading while cranking.
The
bypass valve/temp sender checks out, proper filter installed, and yes it's
full of oil.
Any ideas or BTDT? Brandon remembers someone having the same issue, but
couldn't remember the cure.
Don't want to start it till we're sure it has good lubrication.
TIA
Dennis
