[s-cars] front left "bad" noise developed.

Check the lower control arm to strut assy. ball joint and bolt.
I have a click that is apparent at times and I have traced it to see a bit
of play in the connection.
If I pull the bolt and retighten it it is ok for a while.
I need to replace the bolt. And I think I will replace the control arm as
well.

I remember trying to track a noise that occurred under very specific
conditions. My mechanic was convinced I was nuts, as he looked it over many
times. Then I took him for a drive, found the right conditions and poof
there it was. He heard it and felt it as well. After many hours of removing
this replacing that etc. He finally was able to reproduce it on the lift so
he eventually put a helper under the car as they lowered it on blocks of
wood. It turned out to be the damn high current starter cable tube
contacting the sway bay.
ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE WITH THESE CARS!!!!!!!!!!
