Remember also that MP3 players (well the encoding itself) does not give the
best fidelity as your cd player does.
Would I ever run a CD Player thru an FM modulator.. well I did for a month
with my Audi Bose, then the gloves where off and so was all the Bose stuff.
Would I run a MP3 player thru an FM Mod, yeah I think I would. Some will say
that they sound the same as CD, but I will have to disagree. You just can't
compare the bit rate or lack of software compression of a CD to that of a
MP3.

As far as the cassette interface, you basically have to modulate it thru a
record head of a tape deck. It's all passive and runs from the power of the
signal going into it. There are headroom issues as well as dynamic range
issues.
I think the more you spend the better the product, but at a diminishing
return on investment. Now where have I heard that before ?
