Well, just thought I'd provide a summation of my Bosch BPV experiences over
the past week.

Between a friend and I we have 5 Bosch BPVs. All tested good prior to ECU
upgrades that allow boost levels of over 20psi. A very short time later, all
five are shot due to blown diaphragms. They all blew right at the low pressure
port... the only place the diaphragm isn't supported by the plastic housing.
Performance loss as a result is certainly measurable, but not what I'd call
extremely noticeable.

Now, I know there's been a lot of debate about the Bosch valves being good
and effective, but if you've got a car running 20+ psi, I would highly recommend
checking your valve to make sure. It takes about 2 minutes if you have a
spare BPV, and only a screwdriver.

Try this:
Unhook your small manifold line from the BPV installed in your car. Hook
that line up to your spare BPV, not installed in your car. Start the car and let
it idle. Put your ear to the low pressure side of the BPV and take a listen.
Hear any hissing? If so, the diaphragm is shot and leaking.

I'm pretty convinced, after going through 5 BPVs in a week, that these
diaphragms are not capable of dealing with "chipped" boost levels. I don't think my
experience can be coincidental.
Anyway... hope these findings help someone.
