[s-cars] Brake light? Problems?

I have a 95 S6 and a warning light just started to
appear....it looks like a set of brake pads there
where the radio usually displays. I just pulled the
wheels and the brakes pads look like 50% or more
remaining.
Any ideas? Anything else I can check before I take it
into the shop?
