[s-cars] labor hours for new clutch?

Wayne,
Don't know where you're located, but my local Audi dealer is
$85/hr. and even my mechanic is $65/hr. More like $450 in labor
for a clutch at my mechanic's.

I'm sure you'll get more direct answers, but here is one data point:
The prior owner of my car had the clutch replaced at an Audi dealer in
August 2000 for a labor charge of $1,044.  So if the labor rate then was
$50/hr it would divide out to 21 hours.  I think that would be an upper
limit because if anything the labor rate would have been higher.
