[s-cars] Brake servo diagnosis help needed

I am trying to fix my brake problems. Does anyone know
if you can check the servo with the engine running??
Bentley says with engine off. A pump repair place
which sold me mine  told me to check it with engine
running.

When I check it, pull line on top of servo, with
engine off....I get no steady drips of fluid. That
means it is fine? Yet still no brakes.

Want to check it tonight but worried about that high
pressure thing.

Already did the bomb. Power steering works fine.

Fred, thanks for you help too. Just looking for more
help before I sink the car.
