I recently had exactly what you are describing, the culprit(s) were dried
out CV joints at the ends of the prop shaft. The good news is, if its not
too bad you can probably just repack CV grease in there. The bad news is
that the mid section of the exhaust has to come off to acce$$ the prop
shaft, and as far as I know there are no "service" parts for the prop shaft.
So if the CV's are worn beyond limit, its either trying to find parts at the
boneyard or getting fleeced by the stealer for the whole prop shaft
assembly.
