Philip,
My bad oxygen sensor threw code 2342. I don't think that's the problem
you're having. Look at the circuit breaker (red). It's gotta be electrical
since that's what caused it.
12v.org reads:
http://www.12v.org/maint/diy-dtc.html
4412
Circuit breaker (red) faulty
Reset/replace circuit breaker
Short to ground
Repair short circuit in wiring
Open circuit in wiring
Repair open circuit in wiring
Short circuit to positive on connector and/or fuel injector
Repair short circuit
J192 (ECM) faulty
Repair/replace ECM
Short circuit to ground in EGR vacuum regulator solenoid valve N18
Repair short circuit in wiring
Open circuit in the wiring connection between N18 and J192 (ECM)
Repair open circuit in wiring

Pulled 4412 (I haven't pulled any codes lately so I don't really know how
long it's been there. Bentley says Cyl #2 injector - short or open, or fuse
#23 open. I did do the output test: #2 injector seemed to click just like
the others.
The O2 sensor has not been replaced in a good long time. What was the
conclusion (was there one?) about the price-point replacement? The only
part of the discussion I recall was about whether to crimp or solder...
The thing that got me was the synchronicity of this problem and the battery
replacement. I did hope the ECU would re-learn how to make it go again
after a little while, but it hasn't yet.
Phil
