Subject: [s-cars] hubcentric spaces... prevailing wisdom???
does anyone on the list have (good or bad) experience
with hubcentric spacers on the UrS4/6? What size did
you run and with what sized wheels and tires? I run
the 5 spoke OEM 16x8 with 225/50 tires and the big red
kits (with 314x30mm euroA8 rotors)...
lastly, how much should i expect to spend on spacers
and longer bolts?
suggestions and experiences welcome...
i recently drove a friends TT with 10mm unfront and
20mm in the back and it made a huge difference...
thanks in advance...
Hey Ken- looks like you made it back to Toronto in one piece? 8-)
Yes, I'm currently running spacers for Pizzo's Ronals to clear my 993s. I
believe he bought them directly from H&R, they come as a kit, 2 spacers, 10
bolts. $50 IIRC, and 5mm, I *think*. As far as experience, er, well,
that's a tough one. My car gets violent shakes on right hand sweepers over
90. Now, is this a spacer issue? Or attributed to Pizzo's "city rims"? Or
the fact I likely need an entire front end re-bush? Or all? Dunno, though,
I didn't have this issue until the Ronals went on. Hmmm...
Good luck, YMMV.
Oh, when you say they made a huge difference on your friends TT, in what
regard? Curious.
