Thanks for the warning Chris, but are you sure I can't use some of that high pressure gas line hose they sell at Napa? with a couple of good clamps it should hold ok?

Totally agree though, this would only be temperary, I truly believe all those lines should be replaced...

Cheers, /Jamu.

James,

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use a rubber fuel line, the fuel is under too
much pressure and the line will leak and probably burst. BTST

I would recommend that if you want to just patch it, drop the line at
one and so that you can make a clean cut (he same length as your
replacement line) on either side of the leak with a tubing cutter (like
at home depot for cutting copper lines) this will give you a clean burr
free cut. Purchase a piece of replacement line that has ends already,
two new ends, two couplers and a flaring tool. Install the two couplers
on the cut ends of your original line and using the two couplers
install your replacement line to complete your patch.

This is basicly the process you read about on the website you posted,
but there will be very little bending involved. When I had to make my
repair it was in a straight and no bending was required.

When the weather warmed I made a permanet repair by replacing the
entire line under the car with a new one, it wasn't that tough to bend
for the Audi 5000 cS as there was not many curves. The only reason I
wouldn't consider this repair permanet is because other points of your
original line may be weak also.
