Hi there,
This is my first time posting to this list. I saw your question and decided
this was an area in which I could give my opinion. Last year I replaced the
gearbox fluid in my Toyota Mr2. I used Redline MTL and was extremely
satisfied with it, gone was the notchiness, botched shifts and finnicky 2nd
gear (a very common problem on the mr2). But yes, the Redline is definitely
my fluid of choice. A note: I chose MTL because of the cold winters in
Colorado, if you live in an area with less temperature extremes, you can use
a heavier weight gear oil by Redline, such as MT90. Price is fairly
reasonable on the Redline (especially for what you get!). Though I am not
sure exactly, I believe it to be around perhaps $13/quart. Sorry I don't
know the exact price, I get a discount on it through work. But anyway,
there's my two cents. Hope it was helpful.
