[s-cars] kumho mx

Although not specific to s-cars, I figured this is my best shot at an
opinion.
I'm looking for a tire that can handle a daily commute and still perform
well at the occasional autocross or at the track.  Leading contenders
are the Kumho Ecsta 712, Kumho MX, and Yoko ES100.
Tirerack is out of the latter for several weeks.   The 712 is "ok" and
will last but reportedly doesn't handle as well as some other tires.
 The MX looks and smells like the Pole Position S-03 on paper, but costs
far less.

So, has anyone had direct experience with the MX or perhaps a love
affair with the 712?
