Yes, I know this thread was around sometime during the winter, but of course
at that time I had no need to pay attention (just like the loose spark plug
situation I just went through).



In a nutshell, what are the better recommendations for a vented battery?
Interstate? Sears DieHard? Walmart special ;<)  ?  Surprisingly, the Audi/VW
independent who took care of the stripped out spark plug said they use
non-vented Interstates for replacement.  BTW that repair required a new coil
pack and cam cover gasket set in addition to the threaded insert.
