You can either get the dealer to do it, or get an OBD II tool to do it
yourself.  Most of us use the VAG-COM software with our notebook computers,
and the serial port to car adapter that VAG-COM provides.  See this URL:

You will find something like this invaluable for reading diagnostic codes
or verifying that no codes are stored.
