Yes. I ran a carfax check on several cars. All indicators were that this
car was never hit or repainted. I had an independent mech confirm this.
The paint on the car was oxidized a bit and less than perfect suggesting
that although the car may have been stored outside it had not been repainted
anytime recently. Your theory does hold water though and has crossed my and
others minds. Thanks for the input Marc.
