[s-cars] Lens polishing

As an ex-watchmakers assistant, I can tell you this method is used for
"buffing out" watch crystals that are acrylic. In fact, some older Rolexes
and some other very find watches have acrylic crystals just for this reason.
Easy to make them come out looking like new with some buffing paste and a
polishing wheel, but they tend to develop stress cracks over time. They can
be swapped out with relative ease, however.

Most modern high quality watches have a saphire crystal and are diamond
hard... very hard to scratch and damn near impossible to break. Buffing on
these won't help.

If you have a glass lense, not sure if this method is going to do you much
good, especially if you have some sizable stone chiping in it. If you have
a plastic lense, you might have some luck, but remember, this method never
really was used with glass, just acrylic.

Best bet is to try to find a good affordable source of some euro-lenses.
Supposedly (and, I've never done it), but the lenses on these headlights are
swappable if you peel off the all the factory glue and bend back the tabs.
I've never had enough damage to look into it, but might in the future if
someone finds a good source.
