Daniel, with all due respect (and as it is in fact getting closer to Friday
and time for the FAF, Friday afternoon Funnies), as Yakima Sue is my
witness, me thinks you lie about rust in the Pacific Northwest!
In support whereof I would draw you attention to, Rustpuppy Report #80, of
Tuesday, October 31st, 2000 7:47 PM (
http://www.rustpuppy.org/chapter9/chapter9a.htm about 1/2 down the page)
In Rustpuppy's defense however, and a slightly more esoteric note, some may
find of interest his thoughts on Connecting Rod length vs. stroke at
http://www.rustpuppy.org/rodstudy.htm
Oh, & if you have the time to find & appreciate him, don't miss his
suspension and tire tuning tips & tricks. Heck, this guy gets by on less
than half (i.e. two new tires, after all four, well seem such an
extravagance; not V or Z or ?? rated either, who needs that shit!
And when have any of us Audi AWD wimps, masters of the universe in foul
weather ever really done any of exotic performance suspension tuning with
tire pressure equivalent to Rp's Log Report 11 at
http://www.rustpuppy.org/RustpuppyLog.htm hunh?
And Brakes? Brakes! Us Audi guys all'a time wan'ta talk Big Reds, 4 piston
vs. 6 piston; 315mm vs. 322mm vs. 330mm! Heck, we don't need half this
stuff.... as RP says, "Everything is getting cheaper, but not less
expensive." Hey, you guys that got that moaning in the suspension, well
take Rustpuppy tip/Report #76, in
http://www.rustpuppy.org/chapter9/chapter9a.htm and scroll down to Sunday,
October 22nd, 6:13 Pm! Check that trouble shooting hint out. Ever give any
consideration to the possibility that this could be a cause of the moaning
&/or other odd unusual sounds in your suspension?
Oh yeah & Dan, about that Oregon weather/no rust thing, I quote "A good day.
But, (why is there always a but?) I got sunburned! In Oregon! In
February! I cant believe it.. And it was up to 67 degrees this
afternoon.. More to come
Rick Draganowski (making Rustpuppy tracks..
nice ones.. but my face feels hot..) END OF CHAPTER 10."
Oregon is sounding pretty dangerous to me (especially that part of Highway
101 out front of RP's place.)

~MLP, Cars do not typically rust up here in the Northwest and this is
~probably one of the best places to keep a car immaculate IMHO. Much better
~compared to the salt-bath midwest and northeast (where my S6 Avant came
~from) anyways.
