[s-cars] tie rod end suggestions

Greetings, my wife's A4 needs new tie rod ends, and I was wondering if
anyone has any tips for removing those damn things.  I have fought and
fought (losing much skin and letting loose a string of obscenities
sending the neighbor kids scurrying for their house) trying to get them
off of my 20v before (with two hand wrenches).  Is there some
attachment for an air wrench that I could hold the tie rod with an open
wrench and then use the air wrench to "hammer" the tie rod end free?
