Lee,
Get Stephanie at Accel involved.
If Heritage only pays $400 for rebuilt rack, then they have to provide a
legit source to back up that price. Once they do, have your mechanic get it
from that source.
If they can't/won't/don't, they can not pay $400, they have to pay
prevailing market rates, or reasonable and customary rates, which your
mechanic can provide to them (i.e. $1000). If they want to dispute, they
have to make the source and the part available.
I paid $1100 for a new rack plus installation, and Heritage paid the whole
thing. I can get some documentation (Sandy???) for you to show them if you'd
like.
