First, it's not a dealer, it's my private mechanic who has taken good care
of me for about 10 years. He sourced a remanufactured servotronic rack from
Audi, and his cost was just over $1,000.

Now that I have the Eibach spacers in hand and have looked at the shocks
that came out of the car, it's easy to see how they didn't remove the
spacers from the original shocks. They're buried under the old spring
perches, which refuse to come off.
The spacers slide onto the tube and give 10MM of additional height to the
spring perch. I still don't know where the other 10MM is coming from to get
my car level.
