Thanks for the advice. I performed the "Bob Rossato two-man" proceedure an=
d was able to lift the hood. After inspection of the cable assy. things lo=
oked fine. Could it be the post/hold hardware that is causing it to stick?=
Can it be adjusted? I haven't opened the Bentley just yet but that will =
be my final step prior to putting the hood back down. Thanks again guys.

The new vw's require a more agressive maneuver, a drill and badge removal=

The S car is pretty simple if the cable hasn't snapped. Make a hook out =
of a coat hanger, and go fishing for the cable that crosses under the hood.=
Lift up on the rubber seal below the hood, the cable crosses about 4in ba=
ck from the front of the hood line. Snag and pull...
