[s-cars] running ignition

Probably a bad ignition switch, Elijah. This can lead to overheating since
the electric fan won't run with the switch in the off position but the
engine will keep running. It's not so bad with the UrS cars since they have
an engine-driven fan, but the A6 models with twin electric fans will
overheat quickly. Sometimes you have to pull the MAF connector to get the
engine to shut down.

This is a fairly common failure. The plastic switch housing has likely
split.

Hey,
Today my wife was driving her 95.5 S6 Avant and when she turned the car off
nothing happened, the car just kept running. She turned it back on and off a
couple times and then it shut off. I tried to get it to do it but it didn't
do
it for me. Any Idea's on what caused this. Thanks,

Elijah
