[s-cars] running ignition

Hey,
 Today my wife was driving her 95.5 S6 Avant and when she turned the car off
nothing happened, the car just kept running. She turned it back on and off a
couple times and then it shut off. I tried to get it to do it but it didn't do
it for me. Any Idea's on what caused this. Thanks,
