[s-cars] NAC-lotus Elise at stealership

Hi,

I used to do track sessions with a Lotus Club, mainly Elises.
I never felt so unsafe as a passenger. Passing a truck at any speed is
like betting your life. Not to talk about rain / wet roads.
And if you want to know how reliable are our cars, you discuss with
Elise Owners....
At half the problems they each had, I would have put the car on fire in
front of the dealership.

Let's see what our man from UK will say....

Regards,
Frederic

Just stopped at Midwestern Auto Group during lunch today to pick up some
assorted tiny bits for Friday's drive shaft laying-on-of-hands, and
there amongst the Aston-Martins sits a shiny new metallic blue Lotus
Elise. A track car, I was informed. One of two in the states (the
other is a silver one currently in L.A.) drumming up interest for the
impending Spring 2004 release of US models. The one I saw had a Rover
engine and 5-speed, but future models will have a 190 hp toy-Yoda Celica
mill and 6-speed. A real pig at 1880 lbs, once the airbags and radio
are added. Mid 4 sec 0-60.
