[s-cars] CD Player Repair Successful

Amazingly enough, the CD player I was given to resurrect, that I
disassebled and reconstructed, actually works. I guess the Kirby repair
environment is not materially worse than the automotive environment.
The radio mode button shows something other than the radio, sound is ok,
disks change, tracks change, and eject works with the radio off. What
more could I want in life?

The CD Player is presently installed with some M6 nuts over some medium
SS fender washers I drilled out a bit. (M6 washers seemed too small.)
Is this unit usually held down by regular nuts and washers, or does it
use something special, such as flanged plastic nuts like those used on
the sides of the 90q belly pan?

Last, is the unit normally left exposed in the trunk, or is it supposed
to have some kind of cover?

Thanks

kirby
