I did mine about 2 months ago and I can't imagine doing it without the
crank lock. It took a 3/4 drive, 20 inch breaker bar plus a 3 ft cheater
pipe and all the strength I could muster to break the crank bolt loose.
By my rough estimate, 500 lb-ft of torque was applied. The tools can be
rented from either Blau or Force 5.
