Hey all. This weekend was sposed to be timing belt weekend. I have gotten as
far as trying to loosen the crank bolt. Problem is, I do not have the crank
lock tool needed to stop the crank pulley from turning as I loosen the bolt.
I have tried fabricating all sorts of homemade locks with clamps(clamping
the lone hole on the pulley) and various metal bars but nothing seems to be
working. I have used clamps for the same purpose with great success on a 5ks
and a 5kcst. Is a crank lock tool ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY or is there another,
more ingenious way of doing things? My car is in pieces!!! Many thanks,
