[s-cars] NAC-lotus Elise at stealership

Frederic, interesting you mention that..

When I sat in the MkI, I weighed 310 pounds. I made it in the car (made quite difficult since it had a hard top attached, as it was in Sweden being used as a test-mule for the upcoming Opel Speedster. The problem was with my long legs (I'm 6'4" tall, or approx 193cm for the Europeans), there wasn't enough clearance between the steering wheel and the gear shift as long as the gearbox was in 1st or 2nd. Since I was in Sweden, this was easily remedied by starting in 3rd gear and just letting the wheels spin. I took it out on the frozen lake and did some drifting around our 500m radius snow/ice circle, what a dream tha car was, it was amazing.

When I sat in the MkII 4 years later, I weighed 200 pounds (thanks to Dr. Atkins) , and my legs were still too long to fit :-( :-(

If only someone would come up with a diet to shorted your legs, I'd be a very happy man.

Anyway, back to the point, German beer has a bad effect on your body for certain, but it is worth it :) Much much better than that crappy French beer!!!

Cheers,
Keith

The 04 will indeed have the 1.8L 190hp Celica motor (and gearbox).

Also on the "added for US consumption" list is a ABS system from
you-can-guess-where.

Unfortunately, like the MkI, I don't fit in these either :-(

Cheers,
Keith
