The Rotus (once the Toy engine is installed!) sounds awfully sweet, in
any guise. Road and Track (stateside) tested the car, and pronounced it the=
 "purest sports car availible, bar none", and that's with the roughly
150 HP Rover engine. Weight apparently will not change much by adding
the Toyota engine, transaxle, and US luxo needy features.

Funny you should mention that, but there once was a "Rotus", a Lotus  7 with Mazda Rotary engine.
A real scream to drive!
