Dave,
Damn that blows!! I had a feeling it was something like that when I rode in
your car the other week. I think (don't quote me on this) I think you can get
the ring and pinion out without dropping the trans. Check it out in the
Bentley. You have another trans so that ring and pinion should work. Might only be
a one greasy day job.
