Hi guys.

I can comment on this.

Putting an AAN motor into a 90 v6 would be Electrically alot simpler, if yo=
u were to buy a ABY/ADU Engine harness.
Basically just plugs right in. :-). I've looked at enough harnesses to comm=
ent on that.

Putting an AAN motor into a 90 Coupe quattro would be Mechanically alot sim=
pler. Radiator setup, engine mounts etc.

If you break it down to all the + and - it basically comes down to that in =
my opinion.

However it depends alot on how much money you want to spend. The coupe's a=
re getting old enough, where you will want to consider replacing radiators =
etc.

The 90 V6 has some certain +++ vs the coupe. 90's came stock with a dual c=
at system, so there is a good chance S4 downpipe could work, If not the aby=
downpipe will certainly work, but you will have to import that. With a du=
al cat setup, that means you can buy something like a Millteks exhaust and =
it will bolt right in.

THe battery box in a 90 is not up by the fire wall like the coupe. It's in =
the front of the engine bay, so moving it to the trunk, or under the rear s=
eat is alot simpler.

The 90 also came with the dual mass flywheel setup, like the S4 and S6. So=
making clutch/pressure plate choices is easy.

There are so many ways of looking at the + and the -

I am almost done with my coupe quattro to aby/aan swap. It's been interesti=
ngly stressing enough. But I know for a fact, that in a later point in my=
life, I certainly would love to do the swap again.

Basically remember this:

Audi built 20vT coupe and 90s from the factory. This isn't really "custom"=
work if you have the money to spend. The S2 came in sedan, coupe, and ava=
nt.

Time spent reading the "Family album" can save alot of headaches.

www.S2forum.net.

Good reading there and you can find the right "connections"

I buy parts through Martyn at vagparts.com and I am extremly happy with him=
. He's on the S2forum also.

I also, type a little german now a days, and deal with some german fellows =
also.

Also note, if anyone is considering the swap, There is enough of us out the=
re, here in the states, who can help you out.

Cheers
Josh

P=2ES. This is just a small amount of info.. you(anyone) could allways ema=
il me directly and I can talk about a bunch or you can check out the Es2 em=
ail list.
