I'm just about to do a T-belt change on my S6 and I've decided to
replace the following:
T-belt
T-belt tensioner
Waterpump and seal
Thermostat
Antifreeze
Serpentine belt
Crank bolt
I'm not replacing the crank seal or the cam seal - they're not leaking
at the moment, the crank seal is a PITA to remove and difficult to
install. If they leak in the future, I'll do them then.
I've decided to replace the crank bolt because they're cheap, and I've
been scared by stories of them breaking. I'll also be inspecting the
crank gear to check that the key is intact.
I'm not going to bother replacing the serpentine belt tensioner - I'll
replace it if I need to in the future.
Any comments from the experts?
